KB vs KiB
Storage makers use decimal units (1 GB = 1,000,000,000 bytes), while many operating systems report binary units (1 GiB = 1,073,741,824 bytes). That's why a “500 GB” drive shows about 465 GB on a computer.
Temperature
Temperature isn't a simple multiplication: °F = °C × 9/5 + 32 and K = °C + 273.15. The converter handles the offsets for you.
